So many talking and less sports action which is why this movie is so damn good and entertaining to watch and I’ve read some comments here before I watched who said it was boring. I get it, they suck at reading so they would rather watch action than drama. But like I said, I enjoyed it so much. - @Monday, January 7, 2019 10:57 AM

sonny: how does everybody know about this, mom? barb: bc i just tweeted it [sonny kicks a chair] sonny: you're on twitter? barb: you're not. really thought this was hilarious, she seemed to be overly protective of her son, and with his love life, ali was preggo at first i hated sonnys mother, how badly she treated ali in the beginning, but towards the end she came around, lol - @Tuesday, October 30, 2018 8:18 PM

I just watched this movie again and I don't get it. Costner was forced to make the QB trade for 3 number 1 picks, and was going to lose his one or two top choices to keep the owner happy. In the end he trades the QB back to Seattle and gets his 3 #1 picks back, he gets his two draft choices, and a punt returner and loses 3 #2s, and the owner is now happy. Why would the owner be happy; Costner screwed him over, he didn't get the QB he wanted, and he lost 3 #2 picks? - @Monday, October 1, 2018 8:29 PM

The craziest thing about this movie is not the browns doing good in the draft. It’s the fans cheering for goodell - @Thursday, April 26, 2018 11:48 PM

I'd say the movies great tho! But people are might gonna have a hard time watching this if they don't know much about football. Besides, seriously? Why do all those players wanna go to Browns tho? - @Friday, April 13, 2018 3:04 AM

Jesus it makes me cringe when they show the ex Dallas coach gloat about his ring and says "They win, a lot". Dallas has won 3 playoff game the past 20 years and their last superbowl win was in 96. Since this is all fantasy anyway and Bill Belichick doesn't have to exist it would have made way more sense to have him be a previous Patriots coach since they have actually won "a lot" recently. - @Wednesday, March 29, 2017 4:42 PM

As a spanish and european, I have almost no idea about american football and the NFL but I really like NBA and that's why I loved the film. The draft system is very similar to the one in the NBA, and I think the plot and the history is very realistic. Also, the fact of showing the true teams and facilities makes it spectacular. Great film!! - @Wednesday, May 11, 2016 11:19 PM

Ok, so this movie is old, but I finally got around to watching it, and being from Wisconsin it kinda pissed me off. Of course the giant douchie douche bag QB is from Sconny. When was the last time we had a jerk of a QB? Ohio state has the hero? They have a team full of idiots. Oh well what ever. - @Thursday, August 6, 2015 12:23 AM

Watched the movie , it was interesting, maybe not the most exciting movie to watch , but still nice . I think this movie would be a lot interesting if there were real players names included like in that trade with Seahawks-Browns , when CLE acquired some kickreturner who doesn't exist in real life . The movie would be a lot more realistical if we would knew more about like Top 5 - 10 prospects and show them in green room too .  Fun fact is New York Jets was originally to be the team that trades no.1 to Browns . And it would be logical taht they picked Callahan , because Jets needed franchise QB since Joe Namath left . - @Thursday, July 2, 2015 5:46 PM

Watched the Film and Read all the comments so i will start with:...rugby vrs american football, they are 2 differint games. in rugby you cant pass the ball forward, you have to drive it forward which makes it a lot more physical, yet they dont wear armor like they are feudal vikings. American football maybe good , i have no fucking idea, cause i would have to study for 3 years to know the rules. Anyway i only came to say , this film was fucking horse shit. who gives a fuck what kids in school get picked....realy. This is the first time i have watched a film about american sports that i hated. and another point, the "corp" that runs these school teams, there on the take, there non profit non tax paying orginization making billions from school kids who play sports. fucked up system ? nuff said. - @Monday, June 22, 2015 12:03 AM

real slow getting started, manufactured drama rather than good writing. The mom plows, & Jennifer is miss cast. It finishes strong but should hve followed more than just 1 team, & less mono vs mono interaction+ the coach should go fight a fire. If u love f/ball 2.5 stars, & if u don't 1.5 so >2.0<. - @Sunday, June 21, 2015 1:18 PM

Just saw this today. Good film, NFL fans will love it. My only complaint is it wasn't gritty enough. They should have thrown in a few F-bombs and some boobs and gone for an R-rating. What teenager would want to see this anyhow? This trailer gives away too much, glad I didn't watch it before seeing the movie. - @Friday, May 8, 2015 11:48 PM

The Artful Dodger
This movie was dumb. The GM first trades 3 #1's for a 1st round pick. The owner wants the hot QB. Then the GM changes his mind and picks his original player using his 1st round pick. Then he trades 3 #2's to get the 5th round pick. Other teams think the QB is damaged goods because the GM passed on him at #1 and so he is still available. The GM then calls the team he traded his #1's to, the team who really wants that QB, and tells them he wants his 3 #1's back plus a punt returner or he'll take the QB as his #5 pick and they won't get him with their #6 pick. They go for the deal and he gets his #1's back and everybody congratulates him on what a genius he is. Dumb. Here's why: 1. The owner is happy but why? He didn't get his QB. He got the guy he didn't want. 2. The GM effectively cost his team 3 #2's to get the punt returner. Bad trade. 3. Had the GM done nothing and just picked the guy they ended up with using their #7 pick, they'd still be where they ended up (except for the punt returner) AND they'd have their 3 #2 picks as well. Really dumb movie. - @Wednesday, May 6, 2015 7:03 AM

The most exciting sport in the world and they make a movie about the number one draft pick? Jesus Christ. How about the actual football part, you know, where they play football? - @Thursday, April 2, 2015 8:45 PM

I enjoyed this movie a lot except I didn't buy the angle that they were selling with the quarterback issue....... Bo Callahan gets passed up for Brian Drew based on character. Yet Brian Drew throws a tantrum when things don't go his way, and he tells some poor little intern kid to go fuck his dead mother...... Because nothing says good character like destroying the GM's office while telling a kid to go fuck his dead mother. - @Tuesday, March 31, 2015 11:28 PM

American football is similar to rugby, not to the original football. Rugby is more interesting sport, with great battles and continuous action. On the other hand American football has many interruptions during the game. The rugby players do not wear any protection, in contrast to American football players. - @Saturday, February 28, 2015 4:29 AM

Just saw it, it's not too bad.  Nothing fancy, kinda felt like a TV show is a way.  Which btw would've been an interesting premise with this.  Have the first season of the show build up to the actual draft and the pick the Browns choose in the finale.  Then start season 2 with his actual play on the field. - @Sunday, February 15, 2015 9:18 PM
