The sad truth is, pharmaceutical companies were really doing that. Falsify studies to match their wanted outcome. Lie about chemical imbalances and efficacy of their drugs, like Prozac, Risperdal, Seroquel, Depakote. They were hiding lont term outcomes for people on these drugs, that were very poor. They were hiding side effects, including suicide ideation with SSRI(antidepressants), cognitive impairment on stabilizators, SSRI and neuroleptics, deppression on benzodiazepines and lots and lots more!
