I hope JJ Abrams remakes this. This would really be a good movie to do that too. - @Tuesday, June 20, 2017 9:59 AM

I love it how it said "about the war" in this trailer but nowadays you'll have to say "about WW2" because nobody would know what the heck you'll be talking about. - @Monday, May 30, 2011 12:05 AM

the film was shown on june 6th 2009 on bbc2 . to mark the 65th anniversary of d-day . the final 5 mins of the film with amazing real d-day footage was accompanied by an excellent musical symphonic score that captured the atmosphere perfectly . - @Sunday, June 7, 2009 7:01 PM

Saw this last night on BBC4, never heard of it before then. Doesn't get anywhere near enough credit. Love the footage (i guess Hollywood sees it as too mundane, but the airborne shots are awesome). Also really liked how the surreal bits are really crisp, yet it looks like they did a pretty good job of weaving it with the grainier archive footage. Shame it's not on the torrents. - @Tuesday, July 8, 2008 9:16 PM
