A vicious wild boar terrorizes the Australian outback. The first victim is a small child who is killed. The child's granddad is brought to trial for killing the child but acquitted. The next victim is an American TV-journalist. Her husband Carl gets there and starts to search for the truth. The local inhabitants won't really help him, but he is joined by a hunter and a female farmer to find the beast.

The thing about the plot that has always bothered me. There are a couple outback hillbilly hunters who have a meat business. They hunt animals and then slice them up in their proper little meat processing facility and then sell the meat. Some hippie woman who I believe may have been part of one of those animal rights groups starts spying on them and is out to get them because of who she is and because of who they are. Cats and dogs and all that. The guys don't take kindly to this and ambush her and are about to rape her. But all they have the opportunity to do is to shove her once which makes her fall to the ground and then the woman and ironically the guys who just ambushed her are ambushed by a pig which is big enough to scare off the guys and eat the woman. Later the boyfriend goes looking for her and those hunters who didn't really do anything get paranoid that the boyfriend is going to discover they had something to do with her death which doesn't make any sense. They are not paranoid that he will mistakenly conclude they had something to do with it. It's written as if they did. They probably would have murdered her if the pig hadn't shown up but the pig did show up and all the evidence is on the pig. If people got to the pig quick enough they could cut it open and find her remains inside it. I think the boyfriend even ends up murdering a few of them and I think one guy confesses about what they wanted to do as if it somehow matters before being murdered. - @Thursday, January 4, 2018 10:33 AM
