The first 3/4ths of the movie was pretty light-hearted, kind of a Stranger Things ripoff with some charm, comedy, and light romance...and the overarching plot of the boys spying on their neighbor who they think is a serial killer. You think it was all a wild goose chase and there wasn't even much blood or violence at all during the whole movie. Then the last 20 minutes comes and you find out the guy was actually a killer, there's a rotting corpse in his basement, and he is holding another young boy captive. Then to top it off he kidnaps two of the main characters...and spoilers...one of them gets their throat slit right in front of the camera in a very graphic scene that disturbed the hell out of me. All in all I thought it was an okay movie, but damn did it escalate quickly and the killing of Woody at the end shocked me. - @Friday, November 16, 2018 11:11 PM

Very good movie but some things felt very forced such as boob, sex and mom jokes over and over again, you could probably make a small film out of when the boys are just talking about dirty stuff. This movie lacked clever writing and that made some scenes in to lesser good scenes, it is a good movie but it is nowhere close to Stranger Things, sometimes it just felt like a ''pretend it is in the 80's'' movie with 80's music slapped on top of it. I might complain about some things but I do recommend this movie, it is one of the better ones this year. I usually applaud movies like this but this one didn't get my applaud, it had a little too many flaws. *MINOR SPOILER* One minor flaw that annoyed me is in the end when it is day and magically turns in to night between scenes that were meant to be linked together, it really annoyed me to watch that lazy screenwriting.. - @Tuesday, October 30, 2018 8:07 AM
