Superman learns that there is a new superhero team around, The Elite. They quickly prove themselves a team of extraordinary power guided by a confident sense of direct practicality. As their popularity grows, Superman finds that they are outshining him with disquieting methods that grow more ruthless by the day even as the public appears to approve of their sneering dismissal of the Man of Steel's sense of moral restraint. However, as Lois Lane digs into the truth of the Elite, the secrets discovered combine with the team's escalating arrogance to create a menace determined to destroy Superman for their own power. Against that, Superman will have to resort to a disturbingly unorthodox solution to defeat them with a new perspective they cannot ignore.

Overall pretty good, had a lot of cool factors, but I really found that they pulled some stupid moves. SPOILER: Superman let's people die in front of him in both Atomic Skull fights, but proves that he could have saved some of these people, when he reveals that he had his robots help him save people in the last scene. Manchester Black and his crew are revealed to have a criminal past, just to make the audience understand that they're not the good guys. Like for some reason I guess if Black's fake backstory had been true I guess he wouldn't have deserved to have his powers cut out of his brain? It just feels like the writers didn't believe in Superman's philosophy enough to let it stand on it's own. Not really. MOS!Superman did not enjoy what he had to do, but only did it because he had no other choices. (Everything I've heard people say he could have done would have only prolonged the fight.) In fact it's because of that experience he aligns more with the Superman everyone knows. Batman is incredibly "holier than thou" especially when it comes to killing. Here's a guy who allows the Joker to kill thousands. No one is saying Batman should be the Punisher, but the lives the Joker kills are on Batman. He freaked out when Diana killed Max Lord (who brainjacked Superman) and was ready to fight her over it. Compare that to someone like Vash from Trigun, who ABSOLUTELY believes in not killing, but makes a once in a life time exception to kill Bluesummers. - @Monday, April 22, 2013 3:46 AM

Saw this on Netflix, really damn good. Great action and characterization. Even though the Elite are the designated bad guys, you do get the sense they genuinely believe they're doing the right thing. And come on, it's about time SOMEONE got fed up with Joker Immunity.
