Susanne: I hunted high and low for The Big Parade and finally found a website wherein you can watch it for free (though I think it is a truncated version). It's called retrofilms. Enjoy! - @Monday, February 25, 2013 7:10 PM

A shame that this is the best quality upload that Youtube will allow. THE BIG PARADE is my favorite film. Rather Silent of sound.l It is frankly the greatest film that has never been released on official DVD or now Blue-ray by a wide margin. I am still waiting to see the new restoration that Warner's and George Eastman House completed in 2004. It hasn't been on TCM or Television anywhere in the world yet. Long since overdue. - @Tuesday, August 7, 2012 8:56 PM

this was a wonderful movie, I never cried so much in any movie than this one...it is my favorite scene, I can watch it again and again...and when he comes hobbling back to her at the end, it's so beautiful. What a wonderful, wonderful movie, pity today's audiences are unfamiliar with this masterpiece. Thank you for uploading. - @Saturday, October 15, 2011 5:52 PM

I admire and respect John Gilbert, r.i.p. I wish I could purchase this movie; having problems locating it. Just found The Merry Widow, fortunately another masterpiece. Thank you for posting this wonderful film clip. - @Friday, October 7, 2011 7:49 AM

I had the good fortune to see this in New York City's Radio City Music Hall with a live orchestra; the film was introduced by John Gilbert's daughter, Leatrice Gilbert Fountain. (She was also hawking her book about her father, "Dark Star." The place was only 10% filled and the guy in front of me nudged his wife when Gilbert's "Rainbow Division" shoulder patch came into view. While it does have some flaws, this is still one of the greatest films ever made. - @Thursday, October 6, 2011 8:05 PM
